Climate Net is a student-led climate observation project aimed at engaging young people in real-time climate monitoring and raising awareness about environmental issues. The project is supported by the free educational program TUMO Labs. Anyone over 18 years old can participate in the program, which includes self-learning, project-based work, a technology incubator, and advanced training in programming.
The monitoring is carried out using devices installed on TUMO Boxes across Armenia. These sensors collect and transmit real-time climate data, which is accessible to everyone via the Climate Net website or API.
The devices are equipped with Plantower PMS5003, BOSCH BME280, and LTR390 sensors.
PM2.5 pollution data from ClimateNet sensors is calibrated against data from Yerevan Municipality sensors. We update the calibration monthly as new data becomes available.
