ArmAQI.org Project

Armenian Air Quality Index (ArmAQI) is a group of enthusiasts creating an independent air quality measurement system using open solutions. All collected data is published openly on the Sensor.Community platform.

Both pre-assembled sensors and DIY kits for self-assembly are currently available for purchase. To get one, visit the "I Want This Sensor" section.

The device uses the affordable, popular, and reliable SDS011 particle sensor. Unfortunately, this sensor does not have high accuracy and is recommended for qualitative air quality assessment and tracking changes. These data will be calibrated using Clarity sensors installed by the Yerevan Municipality, but for now, we display the data in its original form.

The device is equipped with Nova Fitness SDS011 and BOSCH BME280 sensors.

Devices are usually installed on home windows, which can affect measurement accuracy. Temperature readings in winter are often overestimated, but the advantage of this setup is that relative humidity is also reduced, having less influence on particle measurements.
