Air Pollution Data Sources
Air quality monitoring is impossible without reliable and diverse data sources. Our website
compiles information from various measurement systems to provide the most comprehensive picture of
air conditions in different areas.
You can access all the collected data for your research. To do so, contact us.
Data Sources
When publishing information about air pollution on the website, data from the following sources is used:
-
Yerevan Municipality Information System, providing air pollution data from
sensors installed at city construction sites by order of the municipality.
-
ArmAQI — a volunteer project for installing DIY air pollution sensors in Armenia,
with data transmitted via the Sensor.Community project.
-
ClimateNet — a student project by Tumo Labs for installing DIY weather stations and air
quality sensors across Armenia.
-
Clarity — a manufacturer of air pollution sensors used by the Yerevan Municipality.
We collect information published on the manufacturer’s open map.
-
PurpleAir — a manufacturer of air pollution sensors installed by individuals and organizations on their initiative.
Sensors from this manufacturer were installed by the project Frankyants.org.
-
IQAir — a manufacturer of air quality monitoring devices. It publishes data from its own
sensors as well as information processed by its proprietary algorithm from other sources.
Other Sources
Information from these sources is not used in our project, but they also provide air pollution data.
- aqicn.org — a website that collects air pollution information
from many sources, including data from Sensor.Community, Clarity, PurpleAir, and others. We gather data directly from the sources.
